Kelas Sekejap has expanded into a broader AI-powered learning ecosystem EN: ecosystem Sekumpulan produk dan perkhidmatan yang berhubung dan berfungsi bersama sebagai satu sistem. /ˈiː.kəʊˌsɪs.təm/ — "I-ko-sis-tem" BM: ekosistem , bringing together conversational learning, short-form content, articles, schools, workplaces and branded learning experiences.
Founded by Isaac Tan, Khairy Jamaluddin and Shahril Hamdan, Kelas Sekejap originally launched as an AI-powered English learning app.
According to Kelas Sekejap, the goal isn't to demand more time from learners but rather to fit learning into the time people already have — whether that's a commute, a lunch break, or a few minutes before bed, rather than requiring a dedicated study session.
The Malaysian AI-powered learning company sees the expansion not as a change in direction, but as a natural evolution of their original vision: using AI to enhance teaching rather than replace teachers.
"We think the classroom-versus-AI question is the wrong question," said Isaac Tan, Co-founder of Kelas Sekejap. He mentioned a great teacher does far more than deliver information — they encourage, challenge, and inspire.
"Technology can't replace that, but it can extend their reach. We believe learning doesn't stop when class ends, and every student deserves a place to keep asking questions long after the lesson is over," he said.

Before co-founding Kelas Sekejap, he also co-founded SUPA, one of Southeast Asia's largest AI data infrastructure companies, which was later acquired by TDCX. At Kelas Sekejap, he sees the expansion as a natural extension of that experience — applying advances in AI not simply to teach machines, but to help people learn better.
The shift moves Kelas Sekejap from a single product into a connected learning ecosystem, making learning less intimidating EN: intimidating Membuatkan seseorang rasa gentar atau takut untuk mencuba. /ɪnˈtɪm.ɪ.deɪ.tɪŋ/ — "in-TI-mi-dey-ting" BM: menggerunkan and giving people more ways to practise at their own pace.
The redesigned ecosystem spans several formats, which includes AI Avatar, the conversational EN: conversational Berasaskan perbualan — belajar melalui bercakap, bukan sekadar membaca. "kon-ver-SEY-shen-el" BM: berasaskan perbualan core of the original app, now expanding beyond English — covering news, careers, money and culture, with Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin planned next.
The ecosystem also includes short-form videos for quick, everyday learning, and articles that provide deeper context on more complex topics — as well as visual formats such as infographics and Word of the Day, designed to make learning accessible, engaging and easy to share.
Kelas Sekejap Brings AI Learning to the Workplace
Alongside its consumer-facing expansion, Kelas Sekejap is also continuing to build on two existing offerings within the ecosystem.
Kelas SPM provides Form 1 to Form 5 students with AI-powered speaking and listening practice aligned with the national syllabus, and is already being used in schools across Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.
Meanwhile, Kelas Sekejap for Enterprise helps organisations turn internal knowledge into scalable EN: scalable Boleh dikembangkan kepada lebih ramai pengguna tanpa kos meningkat sama banyak. "SKEY-le-bel" BM: boleh dikembangkan , AI-powered coaching for their teams.
The company also unveiled Branded Learning, a model that invites brands to become part of the learning experience itself rather than interrupting it — through short-form educational series, AI-powered storytelling and interactive "Learn by Talking" scenarios.
Tealive's Raya campaign, which turned a simple drink-ordering experience into a language-practice scenario, was cited as an early example of how brands can make learning more engaging and relevant.
A second component lets learners unlock rewards from Malaysian brands after completing lessons and learning milestones EN: milestone Pencapaian penting yang menandakan kemajuan. /ˈmaɪl.stəʊn/ — "MAIL-ston" BM: pencapaian penting , tying brand incentives EN: incentive Ganjaran yang mendorong seseorang melakukan sesuatu. /ɪnˈsen.tɪv/ — "in-SEN-tiv" BM: insentif to actual learning progress rather than passive attention.
Co-founder Khairy Jamaluddin, former Minister of Health and Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, positioned the shift around how AI can reshape the classroom, rather than whether it poses a threat to it.
"Information has never been more abundant. Today, anyone can ask AI for an answer in seconds. That makes the role of teachers even more important, not less. The classroom has always been about more than memorising facts."
"It's where we learn how to think critically, question ideas, and form our own perspectives. The future belongs to people who know how to work with knowledge, in addition to accessing it," he added.

Kelas Sekejap's short-form educational content has already surpassed 150,000 views across platforms.
